civic owners?

Alright, I know most people with civics have 6 1/2's in their doors. I was wondering if anybody was able to use the stock plastic baffle to mount them, if not what else did you use??? If you have any pics can you post them please.

Yes you can I believe my friend made some baffles out of MDF.

yea, thats how i mounted them, but the bass is lacking. I was thinking that mounting them in the stock baffle would help, but they won't fit in them.

depends on the speaker...let say a 5 1/4 bazooka has the same size magnet as many 6 1/2 speakers...I put in a 5 1/4 a/d/s on the door panel and mounted the tweets by the door handle...didnt have to take baffle out...and sounds crystal clear..if you're having bass problems in front...thats not a problem because you're not suppose to have loud thumping bass in front anyway...just enough to get the sound/voice sounding really clear...get the bass in the rear sub where it's suppose to.

what you get from the 6 1/2's in the doors is mid/bass. You certainly won't get the kinda bass you get from a sub or two in the hatch.

I agree...but mid bass comes from the rears too or like it says, middle part of the car...
