My 89 S10 4.3L automatic 4x4, has 157,000 miles on it
We have a 94 GMC Safari with the 4.3L auto, with over 250,000miles on it, only replace fuel pump, water pump, and serpentine belt and a few electronics and thats it in over 1/4 million miles!
We also have a 77 Chevy 3/4 ton truck with prob over 750,000 miles, no joke. It has been through hell and back. Its on its second small block 400, and original transmission/transfer case!

I don't really know, my clock shows about 160,000km. So about 100,000 miles.
But my trip distance shows that I'm only driving about 1/2 the distance that I really am.
I've never looked to see if the odometer agrees with the trip distance, or if it's pretty accurate

1999 S10, 4WD, 4.3 Vortec..104,000...use it for a delivery vehicle with our greenhouse business. Built a removable rack that will allow us to haul more than our old '83 chevy 1/2ton van....fully loaded it takes off and runs like a scalded dog. (figuratively speaking, of course...!)
Have a little '83 Honda Civic that has over 250,000 miles on her..still runs great and gets nearly 30mpg...just needs a ring job...uses more oil than gas!

I wish that I could say I got the job.
The truth is that they haven't decided yet, and they really have no reason to while they have a temp in.
The temp is a Telus phone company worker, that's on strike with his normal job. And they'll be keeping him there until he goes back to work :frown:
But I've been asked to move to Courtney BC.
On Vancouver Island, and about 5 min to the Ocean.
So I'll be giving it a chance there, and see what happens.
I can't find a good web site, so I'll have to take some pics there, and get you guys a link.
It's beautifull there, so I know that you'll like them

91K on a 2.2 from 2001. The thing has not been kind to me... ABS Module, Starter, Alternator, Fuel Pump, Thermostat Housing, AC Compressor, Resonator Box, 2 windshields, and a partridge in a pear tree.
That's not to mention all the bodywork I've done because of at least a half dozen hit & runs, nor all the suspension work.
It's been in 3 big accidents(I am always getting ass ended), the last one was a while ago, thank god. This guy in a Tacoma 2WD was futzing about w/ his radio and didn't see me stopped to make a left. He hit me going like 55 he said, never touched his brakes. The hit was so hard, it broke my trailer ball off in his radiator, and slammed the bed into the cab hard enough to bust out the rear windsheild...
I might be cursed, but it can;t be my truck... for all the shit that's been wrong with it, it's never left me stranded (until this week, hahaha.)

1983 S10 Blazer 4wd Tahoe = about 150,000 miles I think, had to change the speedo yrs ago.
Bought in 2000. Before that was tranny rebuild and engine rebuild.
I've since replaced the rear end, tranny mounts, gas tank and pickup, gas line, brake lines, oil pump, gas pump, brakes master cylinder, engine mounts, alternator, starter motor, cab fan blower motor, vacuum connector atop transfer case, battery, full exhaust system and convertor, shoes and pads ofcourse.
Everything works great. Starts fine even in -30c.
I found it definitely prefers full synthetic 5w30 oil. This is because it stopped burning oil and the level stopped dropping.
Someone here long ago mentioned it had to do with fresh esters from the synthetic, helping the valve guide and piston seals.

I've put one alternator on mine, replaced heater hose, radiator hose, radiator, 1 water pump. 2 sets of front brakes, 2 heater & air condition blowers, 2 air conditions pumps, 3 batteries, 4 sets of tires, 2 fuel pumps, fuel injectors, Did about $150.00 front end work at about 137,000 to 140,000 miles, front end has been lined up 2 times, 1 EGR valve. Replaced the ABS brakes box that is under the hood with one from a junkyard, 2 months later it did the same thing as my old one, I forget the name for that thing but they cost about $1,500.00, the top bleed plunger on the back side would not stay in, I put a metal band over it where it would not come out when I hit my brakes and let the brake pedal go to the floor.
At present time I've got a lifter that sticks after it sets over night, after starting it us and it get warmed up a bit, it loosens and runs just great. I've changed my oil and used a quart of Rislone, I'll see how this turns out.
All in all its been a great ride, never had to add a drop of oil, just regular oil changes & such. I feel my problems have been few, we bought a Jeep Cherokee Laredo new in 02, now both the wife and I wish we had bought another new S-10 Blazer.

'96 Sonoma, 134" 4-holer, 5-speed, 192,000 miles and still rolling. The AC compressor let go at the case seals last summer and burped the charge, and the cassette player operates at about 3/4 speed for the first few minutes (the last time I tried it), but the rest of the parts keep on working together. It's had a water pump, one injector, one clutch 100K ago, a few batteries, an idler arm, several pads and shoes, two belts, and lots and lots of Mobil 1, filters, grease, tires, and routine maintenance supplies. Not even a hint of oil smoke, bearing or lifter noise, chain slap, or anything else notable.
