Paint codes

can anyone tell me where the orginal paint and interior codes are on a97 Aurora? Is there a printed code/color chart anywhere?

Look for a label under the deck lid or on the spare tire cover.

found the service parts list on the spare cover- nothing on the lid- but just a series of numbers and not sure how to determine color code

The paint code IS buried in that series of letters. See old threads about which one or have the dealer look it up by VIN number.

guess I am just stupid- old Chevies and Vettes were easy- code was on plate and easy to find what it stands for- looked up old posts and all seem to indicate that it is # following the BC/CC on last line- that is U 272C on this car- however I can only find in Aurora lit and on its spec lists colors listed as 2 digit like 43, 47 etc- certainly nothing that is close to 272- where can I find a chart with 3 digit paint code?

Take a look for a 2 digit number followed by a U, on the last line of the rpo codes.

Thanks everyone for the info- finally figured it out- the 2 digit # followed by u is 43 and the BC/CC # on the bottom line is 272C- went to local autoparts store and looked in their paint book and found their listing 43/272c was Medium Dark Teal Metallic- was having trouble determining off the swatches in the 97 Sales Brochure if it was the Medium Dark Teal or the Medium Green Metallic
