my GT93, 5spd, jerks when driving for a long time when in neutral it doesn't do it but the idle is not constant either. it doesn't do any of this when cold or drive for a short period. any body had problem like this???
could it be the clutch coz i know i hav to change it? or could it be i just change my fuel filter, but i don't think it is coz then it should be doin all the time right?
any good deals on clutch? or shocks???

i have celica 1980 with exactly the same problem and i know of another one with the same problem. asked a toyota mech. and he said ck. coil. i replaced coil, didn't help. i flushed engine and radiator thinking was running too hot, didn't help. .aDDED DRY GAS THINKING WATER didn't help. changed filter didn't help. thinking maybe a vacuum problem

I had the same problem you won't like the answer though as its a very expensive fix, its why mine sits rusting in the field, computer, and sensors

ok....3 questions does it feel like the body of the car is making it jerk or does it feel like it might be something under the hood? Does it do it also when you're in 1st and 2nd with low rpms? What kind of intake do you have?

it was the computer and all of the sensors with mine, I had it hooked to a ecu checker at a mechanic shop, thats how I found out, every sensor was throwing codes

Computer and sensors Make sense... BUT i used to have a mazda 626 and i had the same problem.. Turns out i had a cut in my intake tube and it was suckin to much air or, to much escaped. Maybe you might be lucky and it somethin easy like that? thats just my .02 cents. Good luck

you can go to a mechanic and for around $30 have it put on a computer tester and they can usually figure it out

some of my mechanic friends tell's me it could be the spark plug wires and some say could be some sensor as well.
Mechanics tells me to come back when it's doin it. it's like seein a doctor, doesn't happen when at shop...

have them put it on a computer, and read the codes
