Cadillac Evoq

I think it's supposed to be released in 2002. Could that be correct? I think it's quite a radical car, should have plenty of buyers in the States with a 4.2 Northstar V8 and that great exterior.....
The finished version will resemble the concept strongly won't it?

I see a bright future for Cadillac if they switch back to RWD and put their great concepts into production.

If I recall, the new Sigma platform utilizes both RWD and AWD.

The Cadillac Evoq will go into production later this year and will be available to buy as a 2003 model. The redesigned Evoq will be called the XLR and has many cool features, as well as retaining, if not improving upon, the cars excellent design. Some cool features include:

fully automatic retractable top
touch button automatic door opener AND ignition
run-flat michelin tires
Northstar 4.2 V8

no pricing or power ratings have been oficially released yet, but you can look at and read a little about it at http://www.cadillac.com

The Evoq had a 4.2L engine, but Cadillac has yet to announce what the XLR's engine will be, other than to say it'll be a derivative of the Northstar V8 and that it'll have more than 300hp. Production will most likely begin in 2003, and it'll probably be a 2004 model.
