tranny for my engine

I have a 79 dodge 5.9L 360.

What 4x4 tranny and transfer case would be the best for that engine?

Do I just look for a 4x4 dodge pick up like a 3500?

What are you putting it in? And what are you using it for? That will make a difference on what to look for. Any Dodge (small block) will bolt up to it. The only thing different is the Torque convertor, it's externally balanced for the 360. The newer Od / 4spd. trans will also work, but the wiring may be different.
