I have a 95 dodge intrepid. It takes about 25 minutes for the heat to become warm after starting the car. Sometimes after I have been driving for a long time the air becomes cool, and no heat is coming out at all, other times is is warm, but never really hot. I appriciate all ideas. thanks

coolant is good. Do I have to drain the coolant system to change the thermo? It doesn't tell me in the book I have. Thanks for your help

you don't necessarily have to drain the coolant to replace the thermostat, you will lose some coolant when you remove it, but not a whole lot. When you replace the t-stat, make sure you alse bleed out your cooling system or else you will still have no heat in your car b/c of air bubbles will form in the system.
