2.8L engine mounts on frame

I just tried to remove the existing motor mounts that are bolted to the frame. And guess what .... the bolts on the bastards are not coming off. So, I think the nuts on the inside of the frame are spinning. Little fuckers (sorry for the language, but I'm kinda pissed off right now !!!)
So, here is my plan ... cut the bolts off and remove the mounts. This will leave the threaded portion in the frame. Then I plan to make new mounts with 1/4" steel plate with 3 bolts welded to it sticking up, then weld the plate, all around, to the frame. My welding skills are pretty good for heavy plate, so I am confident the welds will hold. I will have to check them on a regular basis. I have built jacking plates on the frame and front cross member for my jack, and they are holding. Then I will put new motor mounts on the bolts and tighten them down wth nuts. I plan on using Grade 8 bolts and nuts so they won't break off. I plan on making these mounts tomorrow and will post a picture of them for all to see.
How does this sound? Has anyone had the same problem? If so, let me know how you fixed it.

dugie, man.
Sorry to hear that they aren't coming off.
If you have to destroy the mounts to take them off I can understand it.
But I can probably take a set off one of my parts blazers, and send you. Just cover the postage, and I'm happy
I'd just like to see it where you don't have to worry about a motormount braking. I hate to see people crawling under their trucks to inspect things when not nessary

I've built me a awesome garage ... so no more crawling in the snow to work on my truck ... "been there, done that, got the t-shirt". I am still thinking of an easier way to fix this, but I can't come up with anything better. Probably wait till tomorrow to fix it. Going to order new mounts today !!!!
