I was looking at some older pics of your d16a6 engine. I was wondering how you got that texture on the valve cover. It looks really cool...id like to someday make mine look that good :)

I was reading your specs, and I also would like to 'ghetto rig' a KNN onto my car. I am not about the performance, but I would like to be able to hear the sound of the air entering the throttle body, and I also wouldnt mind the supposed 5hp that a KNN gives.
A picture, a parts list, or anything that can help me would be greatly apprieciated

What i did was, took a extra intake hose i got from the junkyard ( the big rubber on that connects the TB to the airbox). I cut it in to a small section with a hacksaw, attached a K&N cone filter to one end, and then shoved the other end into my existing intake hose. pretty easy thing to do i say.

I did the same thing to my intake!!! does yours sometimes pop off? mine does sometimes! oh, and does the metal part on the bottom of the filter rub against the hood? mine does that too!

It rubs the hood a little, and yes it falls out once in a while, but actually not much anymore. Im thinking about maybe duct taping the hose together where they connect hehe

you know greg...my car brings me nothing but drama. there is not one thing on my car that doesn't have a story :apoke:
i dropped off the valve cover to have it powdercoated a red that pretty much matched my ride. i think it sat down at that guy's shop for 6 mos...waiting for the red to arrive. he suggested a black with silver vein and then over that red was put in the clear coat. i honestly don't like it. i think it is more red than the car. i picked up another valve cover and asked this time that it matched the color to my rims. this time it was 3 months after i got it back...and it had dirt in the paint and 3 huge runs. dropped it back off and never got it back again. he just gave us the money for the cover and what we paid for paint. he re-did it 3 times (before we had come to pick it up) and it was screwed each time so he threw it away  the sad thing...he is the only guy in town
i had a stock valve cover around here somewhere. if i can find it, i think i might consider taking off the red one and selling it.
