2003 sunfire check engine light

does anybody know how to reset check engine light on a 2003 sunfire gas cap was left off! should light go off when retighten the gas cap?

Coupla' drive cycles it will go off.

this happened to me too...turned out it was a bad tank of gas.... added and additive product and the light went out inside of a block
