Hi,
It's past a month since posted last progress pics.
I've been busy and couldn't finish this one.

Modified as 2005 version based on Fujimi 1/24 Mini One kit.
Modifications are mainly front/rear bumper style, front grill and taillamps.
Painted body mixed green metallic.
Progress is here (http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=456016&page=1&pp=15)

An authentic duplicate of the 1:1. You'd be hard press to tell that is the model and not the real car if it wasn't pointed out. I'm sure the owner was very satisfied. As always, kunta, your work never ceases to amaze.

Excellent job, Kunta!
Are the half clear/half amber lights on the front a Japanese thing? Dont remember seeing that here in the US.

The first two pictures look incredibly realistic. It was hard to tell if it was model or car. Had I not known I would have been fooled. Excellent camera work, background, and overall a suberb realistic model. THAT is the way a model should look.

Most excellent, kunta! I was fooled just like everyone else. That's just an amazing work. I love it.

I'm also curious about what you used for the surface for the ground, under the car?

It's really clean as a stock kit without lights/chromed grids modifications: fantastic touch. Lucky his owner.

It's not only for Japan, USA version has same lights.
I checked MINI website :)

I always take photos at roof floor of my house. floor material is waterproof vinyl sheet or something.

so... to summarize what everyone else was saying and exactly what i think is... pics and car looks really real and fooled me for 1:1 car. and the reflections off the car on the 2nd and 3rd pics really make the car look so real like if it where next to a highway overpass or somehting
