1999 Venture 120,000 miles
I did a search in the forum and did not find one like this so I'll post my delima.
Started the van tonight and it took about twice as long as normal to start and sounded a bit strange.
Check Engine started to flash (never did before) and the van had a slight vibration to it. The Check Engine Light now flashes all the time.
Vibrates in PARK when gas is applied, even in low revs.
Vibrates A LOT when put in reverse, even at idle speed. Engine jumps around in the engine bay noticebly when in reverse.
Vibrates more than it should when under a small load in drive (accelerating)
Does not vibrate at speed when in neutral or no gas is applied.
so,,,,,,,it seems like the motor has some issues.
Any ideas
THANKS
PS If it's the engine mounts would that trigger the Check Engine Soon light???

Just a guess - sounds like a misfire to me. 120Kmiles - Every have the plugs & wires changed?
I would suggest getting the codes from the computer (try AutoZone for free) and post them back here. Then we can help more.
Take Care,

A flashing check engine light means serious misfire. When this happens, things can get bad enough that the cat converter overheats, possibly starting a fire. This is something you need to look at ASP.
The cause of the misfire can be a bunch of different things. Bad plugs/wires would be a good starting point. But it can be an ignition issue, fuel issue, bad compression/head gasket, etc. As Greg said, pulling the codes might tell you more.

Well it went away completely.
The next morning it started up as normal and drove as normal. It's been 2 days so far. 200 miles or more too.
hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, just waiting I guess.
Thanks for the ideas so far. I did not want to hit and run like most forum newbies so I thought I'd give ya some feedback.
Thanks again. I'll be back w/an update if anything changes or just to peek.
