2000 Overheating

I have had my 2000 Grand AM V6 in the Repair shop four times now for the same issue of it overheating. The Intake manifold&gasket have been replaced along with the thermostat and heater core. The radiator has been cleaned out also, yet the low coolant light keeps coming on with no signs of a leak ,but still overheats. I have put over $1300 into this with no resolution.The Engine itself seems to be running fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

welcome qcsparty, if it continues to over heat you may accually hav a blown head gasket. And I know that really sucks, because you just had the Intake gaskets replaced. That would hav been a good time to replace the headgaskets. The shop can test the compression to see if the HG is a leaking or not.

You might hav got lucky and its just an air pocket traped in the system and the shop you TooL'd it to didnt bleed the air out very well, or at all. It is common for the air to get involved.. Lol

My 2000 Grand Am V6 did the same thing. Eventually a friend who had the same problem told me to replace the cap on the coolant overflow tank. So far no leaks.
