86 delta Power Steering Fluid Leak

Well I would like some helpful answers, my baby just had a massive Power Steering Fluid leak that basicly drained the resovior in less then 2 minutes.

It was a scary experiance aswell, cause I parked in front of this store and my friend said my car was on fire. Obviously it was not on fire but a whole lot of smoke was comming out of the hood.

So immediatly I checked under the car after opening the hood to be greated with a flurry of smoke,

What I say was a pool of green fluid and I immediatly thought it was my engine coolant. I checked the coolant resovior and it was still full. So I became extremly confused. I tried to park the car better and it was very hard to turn the damn thing. I checked the power steering resovoir and it was empty.

So there I was 70 miles from home and have completly lost the ease of steering I have grown acustom to.

I myself belive the leak is in a hose, cause the leak is near the end of the engine. I was just wondering how much these hoses can cost? And If can fix it myself?

Also since I drove the car 70 miles home with manual steering could I have caused even more severe problems?

thanks in advance for supplies.

I Would Put More Fluid In And Check To Ensure Pump Is Ok And Watch To See Exactly Where Leak Is Occuring. Fluid Is Cheap And You Will Know Exactly Whats Occuring.

Well I found the leak its a huge break in the inlet hose.
Problem is the part costs about 20-40 bucks, anyway this is a bad start for the winter.
