Hello,
I own a 1998 Rodeo V6 with 60k miles. Two days ago my fan got very loud when revving above 2000 rpm. I sound like a 16 wheeler going from 1st to 2nd gear. It seemed to get a litte louder after i had my serpentine belt replaced but i'm not sure if that has anything to do with it. I would prefer to do the repairs myself if it is not too complicated. Any help would be greately appreciated! Thanks

Sounds like a bad fan clutch. The clutch is supposed to let the fan 'stall' at higher RPM's & not spin any faster, somewhere below 2000 rpm IIRC. If the fan roars all the time, the clutch is bad.

G/luck
