98 Aurora Security Alarm

My 98 Aurora's alarm goes off every time I unlock the drivers side door. My remote is shot and I don't feel like spending $100.00 for a new one. But it also went off with the remote.

The alarm only goes off when I unlock the drivers door, not the passenger door.

Any ideas would be helpful.
