91 b18 into 95 civic hatch

Hi guys, I installed a 91 B18 into my brothers 95 civic, and usev the civic wire harness. It would not start on its own. it ran fine before i removed it from the acura. in the honda if i sprayed starter fluid into it. it would stay running PLEASE HELP! he always wanted one of these and its been sitting up for almost 7 months now. Thanks.
