Need 2 know paint color!

My friend and I are arguing about what color her New Beetle is. It is a '99 and it is dark blue mettalic. At certain angles it turns purple-ish. Does anyone know what this color is called? I've been trying to find out what VW calls it, but have had no luck. Anyone?

get the paint code out of the trunk sticker in the spare tire area.
