I was wondering if anybody could help me with my sunroof problem. It opens and closes really slow and sometimes it even stops when it is closing and i have to pull it closed. I'm not sure what the problem is, i'm thinkin it might be the battery is going dead or the sunroof motor. If anybody has any suggestions i'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

try lubing the sucker up.
Grease up the rails, maybe that'll help.

Use white lithium grease or brake grease though...you can get it at your local discount auto.

how would you grease the actual motor??? i get a different weird sound when opening the sunroof, but not when closing it, and the speed hasn't been effected yet.

You grease the rails it rides on, like buh buh said. It creates less friction for the sunroof to open and close.

what type of sounds does it make? It is quite possible that the gogs (the little wheels in the motor that actually move the sunroof) are worn down. They are made out of plastic so they often wear down.

Well mine may be different, (its an 84 dual carb) but once you measure the closing force ( should b 196-245 newtons on mine), U can turn the sunroof motor clutch adjusting nut. But grease it too.
