is there an actual difference in performance/functionality of boxed vs. tubular rear control arms?

i would think boxed is better, but im gonna go with tubular on this. but triangular ones would be best, they would be soooo strong. i think. but i dont beleive triangular ones are made. go for tubular

tubular = lighter and stronger than stock
boxed = slightly heavier than tubular(not sur ehow it compares to stock as far as weight goes though) and way stronger than both tubular and stock
I would think triangular would cost too much because of the complexity of the mounting points and whatnot.

if you are going tcheap than boxing your stockers are ideal. Buying aftermarket, I would go with boxed nly if your only concern is straight lines... some say tubular is stonger than boxed (circle stronger than square) and tubulars are lighter. Also I personally would get poly bushings

Why? The shape of the LCA's has no bearing on how the car handles...the rectangular or tube LCA's both do the same thing..add stability to the rear suspension.
