I while ago I seached for a solution for an unknown battery drain that was occuring with my 97 suburban. I checked all of the ideas on this forum with no success.
My symptoms was that the battery would be dead in as little as 3 days from a full charge.
I finally took it to a shop. There was no parasitic draw. Also, in the shop the battery would not draw down. Then one of the shop guys asked if I parked on a slope. The answer was YES!!.
So here is what was happening... the mercury switch that operates the underhood lamp was activated when I parked on the slope. The light was not bright enough to see on the ground. We removed the lamp and I have not had a problem since.
