2004.5 2500 Lift

i have a 2004.5 duramax and i am wondering if i get a 3 inch body lift and crank up the torsion bars can i fit 35's under it?

IDK I think you would have some major rubing issues with your front tires when you turn. Thats if you can even get them on

I've got 33's without the body lift, so you might pull it off. Not a big fan on the big body lifts though.

Since the 2500's sit higher naturally, you should be able to fit 35's (or 315's) under it with 3" of lift. The major problems with a GM truck is the width of the fenderwell. At even 3/4 turn, you encounter serious rub. The front lower fascia is easily trimmed, but those tight fenderwells aren't so easy. IMO, you should be able to fit 35's under it with the right backspacing, a 3" lift, and cranking the bars about 4 turns. As far as the rear is concerned, no probs with a 3" lift and either a 1" block or add-a-leafs.

I've seen a couple of guys on GmFullsize.com that are running 35's on stock Dmax's. They only cranked the torsion bars a bit. With a 3" body I think you could definitely fit 35's but you could probably do it stock. There's a guy named TwoTone over there that has a stock Dmax w/ some 35's on it. You may wanna see how much he rubs, if at all.

I agree. Especially if your 2500 is an HD series...they already hang a lot of frame under the rockers.
