01 Buick La Sabre Fuel Level Sensor

Sorry for the misunderstanding. I am Trying to replace the fuel level sensor on the 01 La Sabre Not the fuel pressure sensor. Does anyone know where it is located? Thanks much for your help.

I made a comment in your other post about the fuel pump/sending unit located in the fuel tank which is accessible through an access panel in the trunk. I changed my fuel sending unit about 6 months ago. I couldn't get the retainer ring off until I got a special tool to remove it. Hopefully, you can get it off without the tool.

Stuzman, Thanks for the reply, I talked to the dealer and he said the fuel pressure sensor is not the same as the fuel level sensor. 2 different things. I did look in the trunk and found the access hatch for the pressure sensor. Now I need to find the location of the fuel level sensor. Is it in the engine compartment?

Yes, they are two different items. As I have said, the fuel sending unit or if you want to call it the fuel level sensor is located in the fuel tank. Access to this item is by the access cover in the trunk.
