No trunk light in 2003 Centry

I recently purchased a 2003 Bucik Centry. Can not believe it does not have a trunk light. Is mine an exception or were they built without the light??? Can not believe it would not be included. If you do not have a flashlight with you this can be a very big problem changing a tire. Please advise if this is normal and what others have done to overcome this. Thank you
