Car got impounded last night. Turns out my license was suspended due to unpaid tickets. Now, I have to pay off all my tickets and get a signed release from the court in order to get my car out of the impound lot. So, looks like it's going to be a while before I can get my car back, and at $36 a day for parking, it's hardly going to be worth it.

Let me know when they put it up for acution ;)

Update:

Car is still in impound, but went to court today for the "Driving While License Suspended in the 3rd degree" charge. Case was dismissed with prejudice (i.e. they cannot re-try me for the same charge). Fucking awesome... not only does this prevent any fines/jail-time (although I doubt that jail-time was really an option), but it also saves me a shitload on future car insurance premiums.
