need help bad!
I replaced my fuel pump last Sunday with a new one from Auto Zone.
The truck has been driven 108 miles since then. All of a sudden yesterday it quit running on the way home from work. After towing it home, I checked to see if I was getting fuel to the throttle body, which I am. I can hear the fuel pump running. Although it doesn't seem to be "gushing" out of the fule line. It is more like a slightly turned on faucet just past the drip stage.
Could it be in the pump? The engine runs if gas is poured into the throttle body.
I have a 1997 5.7 liter, c/1500 pickup. I have not seen any kind of info on the throttle body I have. There are no injectors on top. Just a large butterfly inside.
Any help will be apreciated

Did you replace the fuel filter when you changed the pump? You should have 60 PSI at the schrader type valve on the rail going to the intake manifold.

Being a dummy. I did not. However I am abot to disconect the fule line comming from the tank to check my pressure. While I am that far I am going to go ahead and replace the filter. Hope this takes care of my problem.
Thanks for the quick reply!
