The other day I bought the mothers clay bar system, I just want to say that this product is an A+ in my book. Works very well and shines nice I just have one question when the clay bar runs out (too contaminated) where can I just buy the clay bar??? and what the heck is that stuff made of????? I dont think I could just to k-mart and buy play dough or something, maybe I could use something else in its place?????

I havent needed to clay yet, but I like Meguiars brand of exterior products. I have had several people comment on how nice the truck looked. One guy asked if I just had it painted. :)
Go to

and you can buy just the clay. It says to use with their quick detailer as a lubricant. There is also a medium, and an aggressive clay. Good luck!! Why not post some pics of your finish??

yes, it is for detailing and removing embedded elements from your finish. These clays are really about the same, well at least they smell and feel the same. Meguiars recommends you use some "quick detailer" for lubricant while claying. Or just make sure vehicle can keep wet whille you do it. SO long as you dont drag clay down the vehicle dry.
