A Little Help

Hey Guys,

I'm looking for my first car and have loved RX-7s for well forever I guess. I found a 1993 near me (Cleveland, Ohio) with 55,678 miles on it for $3,800 --

Do you think this is good? Usually I see people saying that: 1) RX-7s aren't that cheap and 2) If you don't know about them don't get them. (Just for clarity I do know how the rotary works and stuff, but I've never actually worked on one before. I just don't want to think that I know enough to get by and then ruin such a great machine.)

if you like it, you should get it. you dont need to be a genius to purchase a car you like. besides, everybody has to start somewhere. and if it breaks down, you can learn how to fix it. AWESOME HUH?! :loser:

Yeah, I know it's auto, but my parents want that. So stroke of luck on my part. And if I'm not mistaken you can switch to manual. Also if anything breaks 1) There's the thing about fixing/learning and 2) There's this place which seems to be loads of help. Keep you guys updated.

trust me when i tell you, a manual swap is quite involved on a fd

if he figures he can do it if need be, power too him... Personally... it's an automatic, I wouldn't look at it

$3800 for a THIRD GEN?! Even if it's complete shit that's a good deal.

Insurance rates ROCK!

Get the car. Expect to have to put alot of $ into it for that cheap of a price. But get what you enjoy and can afford.
