For sometime now i have noticed that if the interior light is on when the truck is idling that it flickers with the idle. I also noticed that the clock on the radio does the same. I am thinking of just adding a really good ground wire from the motor to the frame and from the body to the frame and will see if that helps. Has anyone else noticed the same thing and did you attempt to fix it or have you just lived with it ?

Isn't there an IVR (Instrument voltage regulator) in these trucks? I had same prob on another make of truck, and it was the IVR. The instruments should get a steady 11.8-12.2 VDC. It is usually located behind gauge cluster and is about 1"x2". I havent dove into these trucks that much yet as I have only had mine 4 months.

Don't piggyback on someone elses thread. Regardless if it even may be a grounding problem , start your own thread. Doing what you did is like walking into the doctors office when someone is seeking medical advice for a sore back and you barge in and say that your knee hurts but you think it is related to your back. Have some courtesy and start your own thread for your specific problem. I started this thread to get any responses and advice for my problem , not everyone elses. I am not trying to be rude, but the rules state to start your own thread and not hijack anothers exactally the way you did. (of course i can not find where i saw that , but i am sure most have seen it) Like i said , i am not trying to be rude.
