I bougth A pair of cam gears and I would like to know many degrees to give for a starting setting.

what are your mods? as for dailing in your settings, it needs to be done on a dyno with someone who knows how to dial them in. if not, just dial it in yourself until it feels right. there is no universal setting.

before you start advancing you timing and mess up your engine, most engines like having the intake advance 4 to 5 degrees and the exhaust 1 to 2. its better to do it at a dyno because you can advance the cam timing 2 degrees at a time until the power stops or drops, the same with the exhaust but in 1 degree increments but if it drops advance it instead. its best to do it at a dyno cause you affect the clearence of the pistons to valve if you advance or retard them to much and can cause some major problems.
