Expedition Navigation/CD

I have received conflicting stories. I need help. I purchased a 2003 Exp with the six CD/Am/Fm player. I want to upgrade to the system with the navigation system/CD player. I've been told that it won't work unless the vehicle orginally came with the Navigation system. I've been told that the Navigation system will fit any model. Would appreciate the real word before spending the money on the system. Also, I understood that you could find the keyless on 03's on the passenger side. I am unable to find mine. Any suggestions ? I'm pretty sure that installing a factory navigation system in a vehicle originally built without it would be way too costly. The vehicles with nav systems have different wiring harnesses. (Very labor intensive to replace). I would recommend going with a Megellan or Tom-Tom System. I have the factory system in my Expy and I would not reorder my next vehicle with factory navigation unless Ford went with a
dvd based, touchscreen, and voice command system.

I think your door code has a identification decal on the vehicle computer which is located behind a panel just to the right side of the passingers feet. If you find the fuse panel, your really close.
