hi all, just wondering if anyone gets or has this error message or problem, check power assist, then my power steering goes out, well it seems to go out, but i am still able to steer the car its just a little tougher to turn the wheel, whats weird is if i turn the car off and restart the steering goes back to normal without the error message, so ime thinking its not the power steering pump but some electrical issue with the steering control settings easy/normal/stiff, the car doesnt do this all the time just randomly, btw its a 97 continental thanks, hoping its a 2 dollar part haha ya right

I have the same issue on my 2000 continental and am interested in the answer to that one as well.

must be some kinda electrical relay switch having to do with the changing of the steering control, because if the power steering pump was out they stay out they dont come back to life, now just to find that relay switch :)
