electrical problem?

ok you know how every time you open the door, the interior lights come on? for the longest time i wondered why mine didn't. well i came to find out the connectors for the little button behind the doors were disconnected. so i connected the buttons. now, when i open either door, the lights DO come on, along with the door ajar light on the dash (and even the ignition light). but when i shut the door(s) the lights still stay on, along with the door ajar light. they stay on forever, until i take the 10a fuse out, disconnect the buttons, and put the fuse back in. what the hell would be causing this?

Sounds like you figured out why they were disconnected. lol
