stealth rt tt-vs-STI

Last night I went to the local street races and was called out by an 05 STI. He wanted to see what my car could do so I accepted his challenge and we lined up. I asked him what he had and he said he had an upgraded APS top mount intercooler, 3 inch downpipe and exhaust, cold air intake, and a boost controller. Before we raced I tested my car and it was running like crap, my turbo xs dual stage boost controller wasn't working right. When I flipped the switch to change over to high boost the boost controller wasn't working anymore. At this time I thought to myself that I was screwed, but I decided to race him anyways on only my low boost controller which was set at 10 psi. We lined up and were flagged, my reaction was slow and he took me off the line by at least a car and a half, I shift to second and catch up to him but he slowly pulled away from, I shift to third and catch up to him again, but again he slowly pulls away from me and hit the hazards. We lined up again but his time I nail my launch and pull him off the line, I shift to second and pull away, shift to third and keep pulling, shift to fourth and the race was over. He wanted another run so we lined up and went at it again. the result was the same with me beating him by atleast 3 car lengths. overall it was a good night. So far my kill list includes two modded evo vlll, a modded gsx, a del-so with an Ls swap with a t3 turbocharger, a hatch with a turbocharged stage lll t3/t4 LS swap, a 350z with some basic bolt-ons, a pontiac trans-am, a 2000 corvette ZO6, and now an STI. My current mods are a 3 inch turbo back exhaust, mbc, and a k/n filter.

Ok, so what car do you have? You say a Stealth R/T TT, but your profile says '92 Eagle Talon.

Either way, I have a hard time believing 3" turbo back, boost controller and a K&N on a Stealth TT beat a 385hp Z06. Or a Modded STi.

And those mods on a Eagle Talon TSi, if that's what you have, wouldn't make it fast enough to beat those cars either...

As a matter of fact I already have an STI to those specs!!! Just haven't had the time to clock it yet, thats why i was wondering if any of you might have similar mods and might have already timed yours, thats all!!!!!!!

Also take note of the mods he claims on the STI, totally unrealistic if he hasn't done any exhaust work :screwy:

an STi with a boost controller without any engine management = dead EJ25.

they are nortorious for blowing when it doesn't have a proper tune and its been pretty chilly lately and my friends STi boost creeps to 18-19 psi and he has a full turbo back, intake and no boost controller. so yeah a boost controller is pointless and very dangerous
