Starting Problem

99 Silverado. Engin cranks but no ignition. Fuel gauge shows Empty but Tank is full.

Sounds like you have no power to the fuel module in the tank. Check your fuses and relays first. May need a pump, though. That would be my first guess. I'm not sure if they have a shutoff switch likes the Ford's do. Check your owners manual.

i would say also first do check all fuses in the side of the dash as well all of them under the hood and make sure they are all good. then check the plugs at the tank, and make sure they have good connections and make sure that the security light is not engaged on your dash, if it is that is why it wont start but that would have nothing to do with the gas gauge.

It may be your fuel pump, you should be able to hear your fuel pump when you first turn the key to the on position, not all the way to the run spot! (upon doing so you should hear a humming noise at your fuel tank.) if you do hear the pump working, you might want to check your fuel pressure at the fuel rail, whitch should be at around (66psi) low fuel pressure will also cause a starting problem.
