Nerf bars

I know this is probably a lost cause to ask here since none of you can see what's going on and physically help me out. I bought some Westin nerf bars and have been trying to install them. The original instructions that came with them were completely useless so I contacted the company that I bought them from and they sent me a better set. Here's my problem. I verified on the phone with their customer service that I did indeed get the right parts, and they are supposed to be "no drill" installation. My problem is that I don't have holes where they say I'm supposed to have them and when I line the bars up to where they say they are supposed to go they sit right up against the body of my truck. Is there any way that someone can shed some light on this without actually seeing everything?

the directions are allways shitty. my nerf bars didn't want to line up until and flipped the brackets and mounts around in different ways and then they finally lined up and bolted on. but the directions sucked.

take em back and get your cash back. then head on down to your local GM dealer and get the factory ones and you'll be guaranteed they fit the way they should. I hate aftermarket stuff and parts. 99% of the time they don't fit or work properly.

My Smittybuilt bars went right on my truck. I love 'em. Factory bars would have cost more than twice as much and wouldn't have given any additional benefit. I do remember having a little trouble getting a couple the mounting brackets lined up just right, but everything worked with no drilling necessary. Take a deep breath and try it again.

I've got Nastas and they fit great. I put them on in my driveway after the sun went down with no light because I was in a yank to see what they looked like. It took about 30 minutes total with hand tools.

I'm not sure why you'd have to drill any holes on a nerf bar installation...you usually just pull the body mount bolts off and stick 'em on there. Nastas come with new bolts too. You're not trying to put the actual body mount isolators on afterward, are you? The brackets mount underneath the large body mount isolator washers.

I have a set of Force bars on mine. They went on without incident, no drilling right into the body mount holes. They're actually a lot closer to the body of my truck than it looks in my sig, but i was standing about 2 feet or so off the ground on top of something when I took the pic, so I got the pic at sort of a downward angle and you'relooking through them
