hey guys-

the temperature display on the dash blinks 20 times or so when is start the car, then it stays on. i have no idea what this means and i even called my mechanic who couldnt tell me anything. the actuator on the passenger side occasionally sticks and i have to pull the glove compartment down to move it manually, but other than that, no problems with the AC. any ideas?

the temperature display is blinking because there are error codes stored somewhere in your temperature control system. to clear these, unhook your negative battery terminal then turn the ignition or lights on to drain power from the system. this will reset the controller, therefore erasing the codes.

think maybe i shouldn't yet so my mechanic can plug it in the find what the codes are/were? maybe the codes are about the actuator...

thats true.. no sense in avoiding something your car is trying to tell you! i hope the problem ends up to be a simple fix, if your mechanic can read the codes.
