Ok , i am trying to locate a site that was mentioned in here in thepast but can not think of the name , i am drawing a blank. It is the one that lists the mods you can do to the 4.8 and the 5.3 such as exhaust , cold air intakes, egr mod ect. I was thinking of doing the throttle body bypass mod and wanted to read up on it there but can't remember the url. I am sure someone will come up with it soon.... i hope lol. Thanks in advance.

 yup , sshotrods.com is the one, Thankyou  I took off my throttle body today to clean it and finally got a look at what i have heard about the coolant lines running through the throttle body to keep it warm. I am thinking of bypassing that.

I know that if you do a search on the websites I listed above under, ' throttle bypass' you will find it...... try first this website, click on forums, then do a search...... I hope your living in texas someplace, cause if your not I would leave it be, better to have a quicker warm up time, then any gain (about 0.000000000045 hp) ..... my 2 shiny pennies...........

ya i looked into this mod on my last car and there was no proven gain on hp or mpg. they did dyno tests and nothing worth worrying about not even 1 hp.

Thanks blender for the link. To the others here , i was not looking into doing this mod in hopes of gaining any hp or mileage, i just don;t like the fact that there is always hot coolant circulating through the throttle body heating up the air. As we all know cooler air is better. I am still debating on weather i am going to do it or not though, i mean it will only take maybe 5 mins to do and if there is and adverse effects it is easy enough to un-do. Thanks to all who posted.
