second gens have three commonly available, the one your talken about, 2'' on the rise, to a point, look awsome, sleek yet somewhat stock looking... there is also the one mike showed, which is the same as the first, only a 5'' rise, and yet a third 5'' rise, but its squair, and ugly looking on the second gens, like the original cowls its squair at the front instead of pointed, and if you want that 2" cowl to look realy cool install a tip foward hood kit while your at it... will look beautiful

I recommend you find out who makes the hood and email them and ask for a picture of a truck with the specific hood you are looking at.

You can say to the manufacturer that you are considering buying a new one and want to see what it will look like. Mostly every time they have a picture, and will send it to you, if they think you are going to buy their product. Be specific on what you ask for, then you will see and make a decision on whether you like it or not.

Good idea Dougie!

Has anyone looked into making a 1 piece nose for the S-10, That would look wild if someone did it.

Although it would be a lot of fabrication to make everything work right

I'm sure that it could be done, although you'd sure have to do a lot of cutting, and fabrication. Too much work for me until my rods are done.

I think that I'll nake a 1 piece nose on 1 of my rods, it'll actually be easier than the hood that I was trying to get made up

Personally I never liked the cowl induction hoods, prefer a scooped one... Here's a pic of Grapplers Jimmy with one...

Thanks Rlith.

I've been meaning to ask you if your first gen body lift kit included front bumper brackets? I'm thinking of raising mine soon
Thanks

I hated the relocation brackets that came with the 1st gen kit. It was too flimsy... I ended up raising the bumper horns up 3" and welding them in place.
