While running an errand I saw an orange X. I had my digital camera with me so I snapped a couple pics. I live about 1/2 mile from the plant where the X is made, so they may have been on a test run or something. I believe it's too early for 2003 models to be on the road isn't it??

I'm not wild about it. I liked the yellow better.

The guy just waved when he saw me taking the pics.

Well, that isn't a bad orange, not like that lowered POS with the 20's that works a mile from where I live!

Cool pic! I bet we are seeing that before we're supposed to. :D

I do remember when in Nashville in the summer of 1999, my wife and I saw the then new Frontier Crew Cab in orange at a dealership there. That was the only place I've ever seen it. Maybe the orange is a special Tennessee issue thing or maybe dealers have them painted to appeal to UT folks?

Nope, it's an official '03 color, though a limited run. Steve on the Voy board mentioned it about 6 weeks ago. It's called "Atomic Orange"
"Tymax" works at the plant and mentioned he has driven a couple a few weeks ago.

UT Folks... I'll bet that's it. I'm originally from Nashville, but I went to school at Vanderbilt. Those UT folks would roll into town with thier orange and white conversion vans blaring "Rocky Top"... then whip us on the football field. It was quite a sight to say the least.

Someone made a guestimate that every fifth male child born in the Knoxville area during the Peyton Manning empire was named after him.

Those Knoxville/TN folks love UT sports.

Personally, I still support the Black and Gold and the mighty Titans. Our time will come.

This was spotted on the Used lot at Ted Russell Nissan in Knoxville back in '00. It had a 2" body lift.

My 2002 has that line on the side mirrors as well. It's not really a line, but more of a buldge.

Not sure what I was thinking (read: drinking) on my last post... I DO in fact have the "Bulge" in my power mirrors.

I stand corrected :)
