Programmer Question

I am considering buying a handhelp programmer in the near future and am wondering which one is the best to buy for a 98 Gt. I am going to be installing headers, mufflers and a k&n intake kit and possibly 3.73 gears, and am wondering which programmer out there will get me the most hp/tq gains, and just how much they will increase my output.
If anyone has any ideas their input would be greatly appreciated. THX
