Well i've decided that my 95z28 doesnt have as much hp/tq as i want, so what upgrades are possible? i've already pretty much got all the basic mods done. what are my best options with the lt1? i've thought of either going with a lt4 conversion and getting it turbo or doing a turbo 383 lt1 what would be best. I've seen the numbers on the lt4 conversion so i'm leaning towards that, i also want to get that rear mounted turbo i know a guy who has it and his 02SS hauls ass with only 6lbs of boost.

Turbo or Nitrous would be the best BIG boost of HP. either way you'll need to get forged internals and beef 'em up etc.

I'm definetly going with forged internals.

I pretty sure i'm going to go with the turbo lt4 setup that should have me hanging with the big boys.

Big boys? With the turbo setup you'll be hitting low 11's maybe, just maybe high 10's with some nitrous

so if i'm going turbo what compression should i use, i know that i need lower compression so i'm able to run more boost. i want to build the engine to handle atleast 15lbs of boost.

i really don't like using nitrous though. I saw this video with a guy running alot of nos and that honda just freaking blew up

LT1s already have forged internals... they are good for 550+hp

93-94s internals aren't as strong 95+ got the better internals....

actualy 95 is one of the best years.... better internals... vented opti and still runs off of the obd1 system....

The only internal difference between the 94 and 95 is the Rods and that was switched mid year 94 and the pre 95 had better push rods. They can both handle the same power. Also head/cam packages are the way I always like to go but at some point in the search for more power., you will be required to go forced inductions and there I prefer superchargers but thats just me considering more power can be had from a turbo.

do you guys think with the lt4 conversion with a turbo would give me 500rwhp.

Whats so special about the LT4 conversion?. How are you going to feel when you spend like 4 grand to make your car a LT4 and some guy who bought a cam kit for like 400 bucks and did a gasket match port job smokes the shit out of you?. How cool is the LT4 going to look there?... The LT4 Hotcam Kit. Most certainly worth every penny. The LT4 timing chain set, very strong unit and priced affordably. Everything else LT4 is overrated and not worth the money considering what else there is on the aftermarket. 500 at the wheels can be had very easy with the use of a small PSI boost from a turbo or charger and head/cam combo.

I've heard that the lt4 was overated so should i just get the lt4 hot cam, 1.6 rockers, intake manifold and timing change?
cuda_dude

scratch the intake manifold...

so what should i just have the manifold ported as well?
cuda_dude

have the manifold match ported

A gasket matched LT1 intake manifold will flow much better numbers than a LT4 will but Cuda already covered that.

lt4 hotcam=150shot=550hp :evillol:
