Take-offs from a Z28 or Borla is the best bet.

I have a 3.8 v6 and the exhaust was lose and was bumping the bottom of the car. Someone that i knew at school had a z28 and sold me his z28 exhaust muffler with the two ends coming out for $50. I like the way it sounds. Not too loud but inside it sounds perfect. If you want something load don't do this but if you want a nice sound then buy one and put it one.

i have a 3.8 and i upgraded to 3" cat and 3" in/dual out Dynomax exhaust and i hate it....its too high pitched imo...i had a cheap muffler that i paid $20 for that sounded pretty good for a v6...it was a generic brand from advance auto so i dunno how to help you there tho lol....just stay away from dynomax!!!

Flowmaster = No

Magnaflow = Yes

flowmasters sound great.... on V8. Borla is the best but you are gonna be putting up over 800 for the catback. Magnaflow sounds good and will a few extra ponies but its important to remember that no aftermarket catback will make your 3.8 sound like a 5.7. It will sound good though... also if you have having rice rice noise issues (which I sorta had with magnaflow at first) then your exhaust may be sufficating bit, do some intake stuff

my magnaflow 3" cat and catback sounded pretty good, now I replaced the cat with a 3" dynomax bullet muffler (glasspack-ish) and I think it sound sa little better... and open y pipe I found out today is loud lol.

My exhaust has always been sorta lound in-car though... I don't care

flowmaster is not good on a v6, it pops and is to raspy. I would go with borla if you have the money, if not just go with magnaflow.

Blowmasters are not good on any car. Who cares how 'good' they sound....you are restricting your exhaust flow with them.

Well anything's better than the stock exhaust. But Flowmasters still suck.

I know from experience I have 'em.

personally, im with Luos and 97.. i also have a Magnaflow system.. have had it on for over 2 years and it just seems to sound the best.. and actually it sounds better with time.. it doesnt pop or crackle until you rev it high, and has a nice deep echoing rumble..
