torque heads

I need to torque my heads on my AMC 290 v8 but not sure how much... I know the pattern which to torque the heads in but not the amount of torque I need to do it though... I've look around google and such and can't find anything on the amc 290. I'm guessing around 100 or so but not forsure and don't want to break my heads.

Do I need to torque the intake also? My past engine's I never torqued the intake and I never had any problems but my friend said I should..

First step, 80 lbs.

2nd step, 110 lbs.

Torque the intake bolts to 28 lbs. (3/8" bolts). Start in the middle and work your way out, alternating side-side.
