Gasoline Additives for 93 3.0L Taurus

Hello,
I like to put additives like injection cleaners in the gasoline, but with soooo many different types I don't know which one is the best. They are ranging from 90 cents to 20 dollars a bottle!
My question is: do they really make a difference? Which one is the best for the money? I will not spend 5 dollars on a bottle, as the benefit for the price is not ok, but I usually take a 90 cents bottle from Wal Mart or STP for my 93 3.0L Taurus. Am I really doing some good or just wasting money? Thanks for the answers

i asked the same question about my 97 gl and i was told not to waste my money, except for running fuel system cleaner once or twice a year for a couple tanks
