So my friend is gonna sell me a 5.0 for $50 thats got everything: block, heads, cam, crank, pistons, valvetrain, everything. He said that the heads are arent on it so I'd have to go throught and put it all together(which I would prefer so I have time to build it the motor a bit) and that there might be rust in some sections on the cylinder wall.
My questions is whats the best way to clean everything to make sure its running properly, i.e. removing rust, polishing, all that kind of stuff.

Take it to a machine shop, and have everything done there. Not polishing, just the cleaning.
