I am trying to change the brakes on my 02' Elantra GT. How do you conpress the piston back into the brake caliper?

You can use a large "C" clamp to do it. Just make sure you take the cap off the brake fluid reservoir and see that it doesn't come spilling out as you do it.

I think on those there is a special tool you need to push the piston back in. I think on those the piston turns as it goes back. You shoud be able to rent it at an Autozone or other parts store.

Oh, well if that's the case the clamp idea wouldn't work. Mine's a '99, so the only discs are on the front and the piston just goes straight in and out.

Thanks all I turned it clockwise and it slid back in. I had to crack the caliper bleed fitting to make it easier.
