hey all, i have a 92 prelude and just recently bought new speakers for it, but they are all 2-way speakers. so when i took off the door panels and the stock front speakers i found that those speakers were connected to the deck with a special connector, unlike the rear speakers. the tweeters are using the "slip on" wires that my new speakers use, so i dont know if i should use these wires to connect my new speakers or what. basically, i need help connecting my 2 way speakers where the stock component speakers were.

If its one of those grey/white plugs like i think youre talking about, then they can be poped apart using a small screwdriver, or you can just cut it and crimp on your own terminals. Your choice, but personally, I just take the connector apart, it takes maybe 30 seconds.

thats what i thought of to da after i made that post, but then i thought, will the same two wires that were sending the audio to the componet woofers power the coaxials good??

Yep, they will, just keep the colors right from side to side. One wire on both sides will have a stripe in it, like red or yellow, or green etc...make sure that is the positive or negative on both sides, or your bass response wont be good.

For my infinity s I cut off the connector, striped the wire and on the terminals on the speaker there are little holes, i slid the wires in there and soldered them in there. For me that was the most secure way, as I am against crimps.
My advice to you is to learn how to solder and do everything like it should be done.
