Hey guys, I'm just kinda bored and was browsing ebay and came across those electric superchargers. I know, I know, their crap. But I was wondering if you could hook one up right after the intake to blow air into the turbo. The idea would be to "pre-pressurize" :eek7: the air so that you can get more air at lower boost :naughty: . I do realize that it would totally fuck the maf and make you run really weird, but lets assume that your running the gm maf + maft. Just an idea. Have fun with this guys

i dunno i doubt blowing air into the compressor fan would have any effect...and to even do it you would half to go w/a gm maft...

the turbo is sucking in 100x more air than that stupid waste of time is capable of.

Thats pretty much what I thought. What can I say, I think of stupid things when I'm bored  .

Yeah, the motors on those are just incapable of spinning fast enough to be anything other than an obstruction. Basically you would get the same effect by using an Electric Exhaust Cutout with a turbo car (3'' downpipe helps, too). The turbo will spool a little sooner if you flip the switch closed.

Unless you take a intake with 2 filters, run a pulley and a rod, and spin a fan in the 2nd filter intake cone. I've been playing with this idea. So, it's kinda like a supercharger, running off the belt. There is no obstruction of the intake. The sucking from the IM actually makes the fan spin pretty well on its own. Power it by a belt, and it's even better. Got prototypes in my basement.
