Have you tried getting to your speakers from the trunk?
When I went to Best Buy to get speakers put in, they tried to charge me $90 just in labor to get to the speakers from the rear of the cabin.
I went home and changed them myself with nothng but a pair pf pliers in 30 minutes, no sweat.

well i dont wanna go through the trouble to unscrew screws (from the bottom, not the head) with pliers

the head is right under the panel inbetween the metal and and the trunk sucks!

IF a Lumina is like my Grand PRix, you have to remove the rear seat to get to the rear speakers. After taking the seat out, there are two push-in retainers, one on each end, and four plastic retainers that hold the speaker covers (two per speaker) to the rear deck (accessable thru the trunk). Then the whole cover pulls straight forward, and the 4 speaker screws are accessed from up top. It's a lot easier than it sounds. The whole job took less than an hour. Now that I've done it, I could do it again in less than 30 minutes.

Taking back seats out and putting them back in is probably the easiest thing you could ever do. You could probably get to them from the trunk, sure, but why would you waste time trying to figure it out? Just pop out the seat, pull the deck forward, take care of it that way. Better to have it done sooner, right?

I agree Cad, if the rear seat in a Lumina is like a Grand Prix, there are two pull tabs that release the bottom cushion, 4 bolts at the bottom of the seat back, and two plastic retainers, takes less than 15 minutes, so why fight it?
